Our Philosophy

Simplicity - If you can't understand your own plan, something is wrong.  Complex trusts, life estates, and property conveyances are no good if you don't know how to manage them or have to pay lots of money to someone just to explain them and help you carry out what should be simple tasks.

Affordability
- You should have an estimate of how much you will be charged before you execute any documents.  There should be no "sticker shock" when you receive your bill.

Independence
- You shouldn't give away all your control over your own finances, property, and destiny without understanding what you're doing and if it's best for you.  You should be fully informed of your options and the various consequences before you decide the best approach to take.

Individuality
- We don't make assumptions, and we don't try to fit your unique circumstances into certain models that others have predicted you'll want.  We listen to your specific concerns and craft a plan to fit you.

Dignity
- Too often senior citizens are convinced to divest themselves of their assets, and thus their freedom, in a misguided attempt to avoid scenarios that may be unlikely.  There is a lot to be said for retaining your independence for as long as possible and for enjoying the benefits of a lifetime of hard work.

Availability
- When questions arise later or circumstances change, you should have a good relationship with your lawyer and feel free to call and ask whether changes in your plan should be made.
